This workshop brings directors and managers of community indicators projects, economic and workforce development research together. Through facilitated discussions, scenario-based group exercises, and open peer-to-peer exchanges, participants will hone their skills in strategic planning, team management and development, and budgeting. The course will impart innovative strategies and tools for defusing challenging situations, expanding research networks, and attracting new resources, and communicating effectively with internal and external customers.

Lisa Schmithis an experienced leadership practitioner, Certified CliftonStrengths coach, and educator whose innate gift is in identifying the strengths in leaders, managers, and teams to maximize their raw potential. Her training and skills were honed while working over 25 years with the government and in Executive Roles. Lisa retired in 2015 as California’s Employment Development Department’s (EDD) Investigation Division Chief. She operates Meridian Leadership Solutions and continues to work as a consultant with public and private organizations. Lisa is an incessant learner who always brings more to the table and no one goes hungry.
