For 24 years, the United Health Foundation’s America’s Health Rankings has served as the country’s longest-running annual comprehensive assessment of the nation’s health on a state-by-state basis. Published today in partnership with the American Public Health Association and the Partnership for Prevention, the Rankings continue to educate and inspire action to achieve better health.

The annual America’s Health Rankings report has served as a resource to drive conversation and action about our country’s health and what can be done to chart the best course. The Rankings employs a unique methodology, using data from well-recognized sources, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, American Medical Association, FBI, Dartmouth Atlas Project, U.S. Department of Education, and Census Bureau. The methodology is developed and annually reviewed by a Scientific Advisory Committee of leading public health scholars.
