Description

The DataShare Santa Cruz County indicators project provides users with data on local conditions, benchmarked to state and national estimates. The indicators project helps advance the County’s vision to create an equitable, thriving, resilient community where everyone shares responsibility for creating the social, economic, and environmental conditions necessary for health and well-being at every stage of life.

Categories of indicators used in this project include: Demographics, Behavioral Health, COVID-19, Disabilities, ER Utilization Rates, Food Insecurity, Housing, Community and Environmental Health, Mortality, Opioid Epidemic, Oral Health, Physical Health, Healthcare Access and Quality, Social Determinants of Health, Economic Security and Social Mobility, Lifelong Learning and Education, Families, Youth Well-Being, Regional Disparities, Healthy People 2020/2030 Progress, and a SocioNeeds Index.

In addition to the indicators project, the website also includes community health updates, local progress towards regional goals, and funding opportunities and resources to help convert community indicators into action.
