The Greater Capital Region Community Profile is hosted on an interactive website featuring data, charts and analysis on more than 70 indicators measuring the health and vitality of the Greater Capital Region surrounding Albany, NY. Funded by the United Way of the Greater Capital Region, the Community Indicators project tracks strengths and challenges in the area’s economy, educational system, social supports and more. The project aims to provide the community with a baseline of information from which to strategize, plan and work cooperatively to improve lives. A regional overview highlights the key trends within the broad topics of basic needs, family supports, financial stability and literacy, areas which mirror the United Way’s funding priorities. All research and data analysis was performed by the Center for Governmental Research.
