Description

The Herkimer and Oneida Counties Community Indicators website includes 80 indicators in 10 topic areas, ranging from arts to education to health to public safety. For this Central NY region, the website provides an opportunity for local nonprofits, municipalities and businesses to use fact-based information to establish shared goals for increasing their community’s economic viability, well-being and sustainability. The project was sponsored by the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida counties, United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica Area, and Mohawk Valley EDGE, which together compose the Leadership Alliance for a Vital Community. The Center for Governmental Research performed all research and data analysis for the project.
