Launched in 2017, Houston Community Data Connections (HCDC) at the Kinder Institute seeks to facilitate the practical use of data by community leaders for decision-making and capacity building in Houston’s communities. Through the support of the Houston Endowment, HCDC serves as a local data intermediary and provides a cluster of data and research services to the community.
The Kinder HCDC Dashboard is a robust online dashboard that provides multipurpose community profiles with a wide array of neighborhood-level indicators highlighting disparities and other local issues.
- The interactive map presents data on various topics in a visually pleasing and easy-to-understand format. Select the data you are most interested in and create your own indicator map in minutes!
- Houston is composed of many different neighborhoods and communities. To look more closely at a specific neighborhood, please view the community profiles.
- The Kinder HCDC dashboard allows you to compare neighborhood data across time and space. You can compare data from different neighborhoods or you can compare data for the same neighborhood across different years.
