Description

This site aims to create more vibrant communities in Kootenai County in northern Idaho, by providing easy access to current data to anyone at any time. The indicators should promote more informed decision-making by individuals and organizations. Data are offered as neutral information, and are provided so citizens may learn more about the community in which they live. Indicators were chosen by seven focus groups consisting of a broad range of community members from local government agencies, non-profits, and businesses. Over time, the indicators chosen may change, as the preferences of the residents of Kootenai County change. The development and initial maintenance of the Kootenai County Trends website has been funded by a federal appropriation from Congress. Many trends are bench-marked to Idaho or nearby Spokane County.
