The purpose of the Orange County Community Indicators report is to inform and inspire community members, policymakers, and business leaders working to maintain and improve Orange County’s quality of life. Released annually since 2000, the report tracks about 50 countywide trends on topics that contribute to sustaining a healthy and vital economy, environment, and populace. Topics include economy and business climate, technology and innovation, education, community health and prosperity, public safety, environment, and civic engagement. Additionally, each year two or three special features drill down on issues of particular importance to Orange County. To place Orange County’s performance in context, many indicators compare the county to the state, nation and “peer” regions, including neighborhing regions and economic competitors nationwide. The OC CIP is sponsored by the County of Orange, the Children and Families Commission of Orange County, and the Orange County Business Council. Contributing partners include the Urban Land Institute – Orange County/Inland Empire chaper and La Jolla Institute.
Has CI-PM Integration?
YesThe Orange County Community Indicators Report, released annually since 2000, tracks our region’s health and prosperity. The report includes a core set of indicators on a range of topics that track where the county is performing well and making progress, as well as where improvement is needed. The report also focuses attention on pivotal issues that significantly impact the wellbeing of the county. By examining these issues more deeply and building commitment from across multiple sectors, the Community Indicators Report hopes to galvanize community action through innovative partnerships between business, government and the philanthropic community.
