The Program on Health, Equity and Sustainability (PHES) is an inter-disciplinary team at the San Francisco Department of Public Health.
Rooted in SFDPH’s Environmental Health Branch, PHES applies innovative approaches to using health data and evidence to inform safe, sustainable and equitable planning and policy, in collaboration with local communities and government agencies.
Initiatives include community indicators, transportation and health, environmental health analytics, health impact assessments, and community health needs assessments.
