The Tri-State Community Wellness Indicator Project (CWI) is no longer active. The Welborn Foundation now provides indicator dashboards in the areas of early learning, healthy eating and active learning, and Christ-centered living.
Inactive project description:
The CWI (tristatecwi.org; archived site) represented a collective snapshot of the three state and fourteen county funding region of the Welborn Baptist Foundation. This project reported on crucial quality of life issues which have a significant impact on the 500,000+ area residents in southwestern Indiana, southeastern Illinois and northwestern Kentucky.
This tool was a comprehensive single data source and one of only a few indicator projects that incorporated both multi-state and multi-county data for regional measure. The CWI featured national, state and county level published data including a special focus on Vanderburgh, Warrick, Dubois, Saline and Henderson Counties (representing 70% of the Welborn Baptist Foundation funding population).
The CWI was the fourth edition indicator report from the Welborn Foundation and a web-based resource of 75 indicators in eight distinct quality of life domains: REGIONAL DEMOGRAPHICS, HEALTH STATUS, OBESITY, SOCIAL RISK FACTORS, ECONOMY, EDUCATION, ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY AND CULTURE. This project promoted awareness, education and action towards quality of life improvement. In addition, the CWI fostered organization engagement by naming “Tri-State Champions” and highlighting “Tri-State Stories”. This project interacted with the community through social media on the “Tri-State Community Wellness (CWI)” Facebook page.
