Analyzing big data using charts, graphics, and images is becoming more and more necessary for decision-making. This course not only introduces you to the basic features and functions of Tableau Desktop but also shows you how to incorporate complex calculations in ways that improve insights, make charts more relevant, and create the most impactful dashboard graphics.

Resources That Help You Make an Impact

The City Health Dashboard provides communities with a toolkit of indicators to assess health, and the factors that drive health. The Dashboard includes over 35 health indicators, including life expectancy, obesity, and children in poverty. The dashboard includes data for U.S. cities with a population over 50,000. City leaders can use the Dashboard to target public health investments in high-need neighborhoods, identify regional priority-areas, and design evidence-based community health improvement efforts. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation supports this Dashboard, in addition to a number of other community health indicators projects.
