Abstract: This brief collects the business experience of NNIP Partners, providing guidance in thinking about a business model for organizations that are just starting, or that need to revisit their business models based on changing landscapes, such as new partners, activities, and technology. The brief was created to highlight some best practices and to address a need in the field. This document is organized in three sections, broadly covering (1) revenue streams, (2) pricing, and (3) proposal development. Each section contains background information and key business model considerations for local data intermediaries based on the experiences and best practices emerging from the NNIP network.
